Greeting – Invitation
Dear Colleagues,
The HUA Panhellenic Urological Conference returns to the city of Thessaloniki, where it will be held on October 3rd - 6th, at Makedonia Palace Hotel.
Unlike the Panhellenic Interdepartmental Conference which is hosted in different towns throughout Greece every two years, the size and international character of the HUA Panhellenic Conference demand its realisation exclusively in Athens and Thessaloniki, alternately.
The capital of Northern Greece offers an ideal opportunity for colleagues from the wider area of Southeastern Europe to meet. The Administrative Board has taken action to formally inform and invite the National Urological Associations of the area in hope to have the pleasure to host many colleagues from the Balkans and Turkey. In this context, simultaneous interpretation from Greek to English and vice versa will be available throughout the programme.
The Scientific Committee is preparing a state-of-the-art four-day programme. Apart from the standard sessions regarding the follow-up of the latest developments in our specialty (guidelines, ESU Course, etc.), and the exchange of views with the most eminent Greek and foreign urologists (debates, clinical cases, etc.), this year’s programme will also include sessions in patient management, as regards legal and insurance matters.
Last but not least, another innovation of this year’s programme is the organisation of “Urolympics”, a knowledge contest, where groups of trainees from different Urological Clinics will be invited to participate.
Finally, we would like to inform you that, by unanimous decision of the Board of Directors, registration to the 26th HAU Panhellenic Urological Conference is offered free of charge to all the colleagues-members who have renewed their HUA subscription and have no dues towards the Association. The same also applies to HUA members who will have settled their dues prior to the initiation of the Conference.
We invite you to participate actively in the conference, to submit and present your abstracts, to attend the conference sessions and to reunite with friends and colleagues.
